Our position at noon today. Rocking and rolling! 80 degrees outside but to windy to be out. I think they have deck 12 blocked off due to the winds.LAST NIGHT:
There is a lot of strange art on the ship. This is in the atrium.
Our bartender last night in the Mariner Lounge was Alexander from the Ukraine.
Gudun, the Cruise Consultant, with us and Marcia at dinner in Compass Rose. Our bartender last night in the Mariner Lounge was Alexander from the Ukraine.
I had this beef tenderloin with fole gras. Rebecca chose the lobster.
Loved this lemon meringue tart.
Kenny James show was great. His son travels with him and plays the base guitar leading the orchestras they work with. The performers have just one show run through in the afternoon before the shows at night. Orchestra members have to be very good at reading the music that the performers bring with them.
TODAY:
Well, the sea calmed down some during the evening yesterday so cocktails, dinner, and the show was nice sailing. But today the sea is acting up again. We decided it would be too difficult to stay on the treadmills so no exercise today. Watched a couple movies instead.
During the Captain's noon update on the PA he said the wind is 30 knots now with 6 foot waves but later this afternoon until approximately 3am tomorrow it will get rougher. Winds expected to be gale force (40 knots) with waves up to 12 feet. Definitely the worse seas we have had so far. Best place to be during rough seas is lowest deck, midship. That just happens to be where the Mariner Lounge is and Compass Rose is next to it along with Prime 7. I still have my half patch on and now also have my wrist bands on (acupuncture of wrist also to help prevent seasickness) Eating ginger also helps.
Rebecca had a 12:30pm hair cut appointment so she left me early at lunch in La Veranda. We will probably watch a movie and read this afternoon. Right now we have no plans for dinner with others this evening. The show this evening is featuring Fogwell Flax (weird name) from the UK who is billed as a comedian and vocal impressionist. We plan on attending it at 9:15.
It will be good to be docked in Cartagena tomorrow as a respite from the rocking and rolling Caribbean Sea.
