Our position at noon today is cruising in the Atlantic Ocean just 15 miles off the coast of Cuba. Temperature is a pleasant 80 degrees with a passing rain shower just after noon while we were having lunch in La Veranda.LAST NIGHT:
We finished dinner in Compass Rose by 8:30 and did not want to wait an hour before the comedians show so just retired for the evening.
TODAY:
Sandwich buffet at the pool grill during lunch. I had a ham & cheese panini and tuna with cheese on an English muffin.
No surprise, but we both tested negative with covid basal swab test administered to all passengers this morning. There are no covid postive passengers or crew on the ship. This test is required for our arrival back in Miami tomorrow morning. There will be some passengers disembarking tomorrow as this is the end of another cruise segment of the world cruise. Numbers leaving and coming vary depending on who you talk to. Should have that nailed down after tomorrow.
Gym workout was earlier this morning so sat out on our balcony after it. Quite pleasant then. Worked a crossword puzzle then read more of the book, "2034". As I was drying my hair after showering there was a flash, pop, and a little smoke that came out of the outlet. Scared me. Dryer still worked but had Karren (stewardess) bring a new one. Hope it is not in the outlet.
This afternoon while waiting for The Masters (may as well be called the Tiger Woods Show) to come on our tv, I completed the online "end of cruise guest survey". Made constructive criticisms about treadmill maintenance and Prime 7 steaks. Also suggested there be 5 different production shows on next year's world cruise instead of only the 4 now.
Well, kind of a sad evening as Peter, our favorite bartender, will be heading home to Bulgaria tomorrow. We have had a LOT of laughs with him during cocktail hour most every evening. So will be having cocktails at 6pm with him and then saying goodbye before we head up to Sette Mari for dinner. I have requested the chef make me a veal parmesan (no surprise there).
After dinner they are showing a movie that no one has ever heard of. Additionally, at 9:15 in the Horizon Lounge there will be the traditional last night of a cruise, "Beatles Dance Party". I don't dance but Rebecca probably will.
