On the end of cruise survey of the last segment they ask what is your least liked port of call on the cruise. Well, this place was my answer. Cheap stop as NCL owns the island and Regent is part of NCL. Not going ashore. We are anchored as usual no dock for us. Tenders used to transfer people. The red line is our projected cruise track for part of this segment.LAST NIGHT:
Not many up on pool deck last night for the sail-away party at 9:30.
Rebecca dancing with Nunzio.
Ship's singers & dancers with the orchestra playing some tunes. Miami skyline at night.
Deck 12 lit up Sailing out now past NCL terminal.
And RCL terminal.
Sorry we were having such a good conversation of catching up with Melody & David Hermann that I forgot to get photos. We tried to enjoy drinks and conversation in the Horizon Lounge but the orchestra was playing there. More like a concert than cocktail music so you could hear each other talk.
Dinner in Prime 7 was very good. Rebecca & I had the HUGE filets which I coated with some Lawry's lemon pepper which we bought in Tampa last segment.
TODAY:
This morning I decided to do my exercise by doing a fast walk for an hour up on deck 12. It was a bit windy (18 knots) and only 70 degrees. Rebecca went to the gym as usual. Later as I was showering the water pressure went to a trickle and on & off. I managed to get rinsed off. They sent a couple guys from engineering up to check it out. They replaced the shower head but I don't think that was the issue. This suite is haunted!!!
The ship is have a BBQ lunch on the island today. We headed up to La Veranda for lunch as usual however.
At the carving station today was this turkey. None for me however. Beach area We got more fresh flowers after our Miami stop. When we returned from lunch Karren & Regille had cleaned our suite and apparently prepared our balcony for some rough or very windy seas tonight. I'm going back out there this afternoon however.
Our plans for this evening is to enjoy cocktails and dinner with Karen & Burt Schraga again. You may recall me saying Karen was also a retired flight attendant. I know Burt likes "pigs in a blanket" as canapes so I requested 10 of them for us at 6pm in the Horizon Lounge. Dinner in Compass Rose will follow at 7pm. Joseph, one of our favorite waiters, returned yesterday after a month's vacation. We will be dining at his station tonight.
We have some new headliner entertainers now. Tonight's show at 9:15 will feature Lauren Jelencovich, a singer. Should be a good show.
Before all this we should be sailing again at 5pm and will be having two days at sea before arriving in Cartagena, Colombia, AGAIN on Thursday.
