Here we are again today in Puerto Plata on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Hot (87 degrees), humid, but windy day. This is our 3rd visit to this port. For the 3rd time we still did not touring.
The Krew Kapers show before dinner was fantastic. Richard, a bar waiter, (in red vest) is the show captain who organizes the crew show. Here are some photos of the show. The audience really cheered them for the performance.
We barely recognized Dara, our favorite waitress, as she had her hair down. We had never seen it down before.
This is a traditional song on every Regent ships Kapers show.
Also a traditional dance
These guys were great!!!!
Even Elvis showed up for a coupe songs.
No photos of dinner. The turkey gravy they brought me was not dark brown as before. However it was absolutely terrible even though the color was lighter but it had the consistency of water and tasteless. Again, I did not eat. I walked out as Rebecca had finished eating before they could bring me something else. Will not happen again as I will not order turkey again. Too much other good food on the ship.
On Sunday in Miami I plan to walk across the bridge to a CVS pharmacy store just on the other side by the FTX arena. Should only be 1 1/2 miles each way and so good exercise. I need a couple non-prescription things. Now I will be looking for one more thing--a jar of Heinz turkey or chicken gravy. I want our sous chef to know what the consistency and taste should be.
This is our favorite of the production cast's 4 different shows.

TODAY:
TGIF for some of you. We never know what day of the week it is here after 3 months of traveling.
Last night we finally got our world cruise shirts.
They had put a lifeboat in the water this morning. Not sure why. Later this morning there was a crew emergency drill. They exercise the crew on their emergency responsibilities once every week. This morning we received our instructions for being covid tested tomorrow morning between 8 and 10am. Passengers have to be tested prior to arriving back in Miami. All crew members are tested once a week.
We sailed at 2:30 this afternoon for Miami but we have another sea day tomorrow before arriving early Sunday morning. The Captain said he will be sailing high speed (19 knots) to be on time at the Port of Miami. There is a little "motion in the ocean" due to the wind but not bad so far.
There is another special wine dinner this evening but we are not going to attend. There is a pre-dinner show featuring the violinist, Bernadett Nyari's, second performance. We did enjoy her first show but not planning to go this evening. Our favorite bartender, Peter, will be going home to Bulgaria on Sunday so we will spend time at the Horizon Lounge bar with him instead. Dinner planned in Compass Rose (no turkey tonight) as beef Wellington is on the menu. I'll enjoy another bottle of Cline Zinfandel
with it. We will probably go back to the Horizon Lounge after dinner for the comedy/magic club with John Lenahan. Bernadett, John, and the Pampas Devil performers will be leaving the ship on Sunday and we'll get new ones.
