After sailing from San Diego at 4am here is our position at noon.  We have a long way to go before arriving at Astoria, Oregon, on Thursday.  It is a cool 60 degrees with a little movement due to the wind. At noon the Captain said it will be a lot rougher seas tomorrow.  Oh, boy!

LAST NIGHT:

San Diego skyline at night from my balcony.
Lights of the USS Midway aircraft carrier museum.
They were having a special pool grill dinner so I asked if they would bring me something on that menu.  Again, ask and you will receive.  I enjoyed the cajun seafood gumbo  but the oysters Rockfeller was not good.
The veal osso bucco was very good but my piece was HUGE.  Mashed potatoes and veggies also.  Not in photo was a creme brulee.

TODAY:

Another good night's sleep and up at 7:30 when the alarm went off.  A nurse showed up at 8am to test me.  I must admit I have little hope of ever testing negative.  It was 8:45 when the nurse in charge of the covid program on board called which is much longer than usual.  I answered saying, "He's not here as just ran down to Coffee Connection".  Got a laugh out of her!  POSITIVE again today.
Here's the plan she spelled out for my future.  1)  I would be tested again tomorrow morning, Tuesday.  2)  Regardless of that test result she will release me from isolation early Wednesday morning.
3)  I will have to wear a mask after that around the ship except when drinking or eating.  She said I am no longer contagious but will still take precautions.  I can handle that, just let me out!!!!
Sergio came by and took my temperature and oxygen level as usual this morning.  Both normal as usual.

This morning we had two navy ships paralleling our course in the distance.  Then they made a u-turn and I got this photo of one of them.  Guess they were out playing.
My lunch consisted of tomato soup (better than usual) and tuna salad sandwich with fries.

Rebecca said as she was going up to La Veranda for lunch she ran into Mark Preston, who's show is tonight in the theater.  He remembered her.  He is one or our favorite entertainers as is a great singer.  He told her his wife will also be doing a show in a few days.  She told him that I will be missing his show tonight.  Apparently his next show will be on the 30th so I will be seeing it.
This afternoon I will be watching a movie on the tv movie list, "War Horse".  I finished my book, "2034" last night.
Ok, I just finished watching "War Horse".  One of the best movies I have seen.  Spectacular scenery the first half and great story line.  Very touching movie.
Guess I will go ahead and publish this.  Rest of my day will be as usual.  I'm counting the hours now.

HOMEWARD BOUND

LAST NIGHT We had cocktails in the Mariner Lounge with Marcia, Burt, Richard, Harvey, and Gudrun (sales consultant).  Then up to Sette Mar...
