Our position today is in Cartagena, Colombia. We were here for two days back on February 26 & 27.It is 89 HOT degrees with the high humidity making it worse so we are staying on the ship. There are some rain showers in the area this afternoon.
Rebecca chose the lemon-thyme marinated tiger shrimp with basmati rice. She loves it.
I had the roasted prime rib. Not sure why but they put the Hollandaise sauce on the gratin potatoes instead of the broccoli.
Banana macadamia nut pudding with ice cream.I was the first one to enter the theater. They had my ice water down on second row (first row still blocked) where we usually sit. But we sat on the back row last night in case we did not like the act and wanted to leave before the show was over.
This is the comedian/magician, John Lenahan. As people were entering he was trying to get them to sit down front. He was quite funny and I enjoyed his show but Rebecca didn't care for it.
Here comes our mobile gas station.
The tug is backing the bunker barge up next to the ship right under our balcony.
They started fueling operation just before noon. It will take several hours.
On the same pier with us today is the MS THE WORLD. It is a residential cruise ship operated like a condominium. The ship has 165 residences (106 apartments, 19 studio apartments, and 40 studios) all owned by the ship's residents. The average occupancy is between 150 to 200 residents and guests. Some residents live on board full time while some come and go. She has a crew of 280. The ship was emptied between March 2020 and returned to service in July 2021 due to covid. Most of the residences have kitchens or kitchenettes and there is a grocery and deli store on the ship. However there are also 6 restaurants on board. The apartments range in price from $825,000 to $7.5 million but to buy in you have to prove your net worth is over $5 million. There is also an annual "service fee" which ranges from $60,000 to $300,000 depending on the size of the apartment. This covers crew, fuel, maintenance (including dry docks), port charges, and food & beverages. Oh, yes, there is also an $8 million "entry fee" which buys you a lease expiring in 2052. Two owners are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Madonna.LAST NIGHT:

TODAY:
The tug is backing the bunker barge up next to the ship right under our balcony.
They started fueling operation just before noon. It will take several hours.
They are loading a massage amount of provisions on her today. These are the balconies of the smaller studio apartments.
Here are some of the larger balconies. Tour buses waiting for our ship's tours this morning.
They carried on a couple of very large flower arrangements. View of Cartagena's skyline.
Once again we are docked at the commercial port.
This afternoon we have to listen to the engine of the bunker tug pumping gas. Rebecca is playing solitaire and I will probably work on a crossword puzzle from the Dallas Morning News which they print for us daily. Maybe another movie??
Busy evening planned. At 5:30 we have an interdenominational worship service. After it we'll get cocktails and head to the theater as there is another early show at 6:15 featuring the production cast in "Divos & Divas". Yes, this is the 4th time we've seen this show. After the show we are meeting Marcia, Barbara, and Wiley for dinner in Compass Rose. At 9:30 there is another "Liars Club" in the Horizon Lounge which is always hilarious.
We will be sailing again at 8pm for Aruba but tomorrow is another day at sea prior to arriving there on Tuesday.
