                                                           FREEDOM DAY

At noon we are off shore Oregon now.  The wind is much less at just 10 knots but the ship is still moving about some but much better now.  Temperature is 52 degrees.

LAST NIGHT:

At 4:30 I called Rebecca and asked her to go down to the Horizon Lounge and get me a glass of Makers Mark.  It took a long time but she finally came to my door with this.  She said it was the last of the Makers Mark on the ship.  Isadora, F&B, told her this is the last of it on the ship now.  Said they will try to get more in Astoria on Thursday.
This is my lasagna supposedly from Sette Mari.  It was terrible.  Tasted like something I would get in the frozen food section of a grocery store.
                                                                    Banana cream pie

TODAY:

I was up at 6:30 and mostly packed up by 7am.  Just waiting now to receive the call to release me from isolation.  Well, straight up 8:00, Dragana, (very strange name) called as she had promised and said I was RELEASED.
So off I went back to 731.  First thing I did was give Rebecca a big hug.  Then I unpacked and headed to the gym.  I missed my treadmill time and figured I had gained some weight as I ate very good when in isolation.  Some of our bar friends were in the gym and all greeted me.  After I got back to the suite I showered and got dressed for the day.  We have a scales in our bath so I weighed.  Amazingly I apparently did not gain any weight.  Hooray!
Everyone is required to fill out a Canadian entry form online, "ArriveCAN".  Since I am tech illiterate I went down to Reception and had Sylvia do it for me.  She was great and did it in 20 minutes.  It would have taken me all day.  While there I also completed the Canadian Customs Declaration form.
At lunch in La Veranda many fellow passengers and crew came by to say hi and glad to see me again.  It sure was nice to see everyone again.  There have been some whale sightings today but we have not seen any.  We  can see the Oregon coast now.
Planning on a lazy afternoon here in our suite.  I have been watching the Amazon series, "Get Shorty", so may watch some more episodes
We will be going down to the Horizon Lounge at 6pm for cocktails then dinner in Compass Rose.  The show tonight is featuring a Broadway singer, Michelle Murlin.  She is the wife of Mark Preston whose show was a couple days ago.  I hated to miss his show.  We will definitely go to tonight's show.
We are to be docked in Astoria, Oregon, by 7am tomorrow.  Weather forecast is cold and rainy so we will not leave the ship.

HOMEWARD BOUND

LAST NIGHT We had cocktails in the Mariner Lounge with Marcia, Burt, Richard, Harvey, and Gudrun (sales consultant).  Then up to Sette Mar...
