LAST NIGHT:
At 5:30pm Andy, our cruise director, and his wife, Tammy, our social hostess, held an interdenominational worship service in the card room. It was a very nice service but only a few attended it. After the service we headed to the Horizon Lounge to meet Susanne Peters for pre-dinner cocktails. After all, isn't that what you do after a church service!!
Dinner in Compass Rose with Susanne. Our long time friend, Mario, was our waiter. Rebecca and I both enjoyed the pan fried branzino (fish). While having drinks before dinner Tammy stopped by with great news. They will be televising these NFL football playoff games. This is a first on Regent I believe. So next Sunday we can see the Cowboys/49ers game. Also during cocktails Gusti, the assistant bartender came by so I asked if I could have a bottle of Woodford Reserve bourbon in my suite. After dinner we went back to our suite before heading down to the show. This was awaiting me!! Ask and ye shall receive!!Not many came to his show. It is a pain to have to wear masks during shows.
Here he is playing the penny whistle. On the way back to our suite after the show I stopped in the Mariner Lounge for a "happy happy" after dinner drink. Sergii, from the Ukraine was tending bar and made one for me. Only ingredient not on board is Godiva chocolate liquor but Douglas, our F&B, is working on getting some in Acapulco tomorrow. Sergii is 6' 6" tall.
TODAY:
Just wanted to do a follow up on what I said about the new policy of no plastic water bottles that I mentioned yesterday. I found out last night that these glass water bottles that are in the suites and restaurants are cleaned and refilled with the ship's water daily. So this is now environmentally friendly.
Also the straws are now paper straws. There are no paper cups for coffee. All cups are china.
There is a laundrette on the passengers decks. They are free including the laundry soap. We now always get to send our laundry down to the ship's laundry because of our "titanium" status. It is also one of the world cruise benefits. I usually send some laundry out about every day and it is returned in a day or two. The laundry does a very nice job. Rebecca does not trust some of her clothes to the laundry so occasionally uses the laundrette.
Every day at 4pm there is a "tea time" featuring teas, coffees, and sweets. Today's is featuring cheese cakes. I'm always tempted but never partake. There is a laundrette on the passengers decks. This called the "Coffee Connection". Rommel, the barista, will make specialty coffees or you can make your own coffee above. At the back of Coffee Connection is the "Club.Com". There are computers there for use and an IT guy who can help with your laptops and cell phones. He was most helpful to me.

The boutique is very nice and well stocked. We are not gamblers but there is a nice casino.
I will be posting more photos of the ship's restaurants and services in future postings. Our plan for this evening is pre-dinner cocktails in the Mariner Lounge then dinner in Compass Rose. Photos of those tomorrow. Tonight's show features a second performance of the singer who we did not care for so will skip the show. They are televising the college national championship game (Alabama vs Georgia) at 7pm this evening which is during dinner hour so we will watch the taping of it tomorrow at 1pm on our tv. We have no tours for Acapulco tomorrow. "ROLL TIDE"
