LAST NIGHT:
I just missed a good sunset photo.
I really enjoyed this seafood risotto.
Our waiter, Dennis, is removing the bones from Rebecca 1/2 roasted chicken.
First entree I tried was this soy chicken on polenta. The chicken was overcooked.I really enjoyed this seafood risotto.

So I asked for the next entree, pan fried sea bass. Also overcooked. Seems to be common occurrence on Mariner now.
At least the apple pie was good. Our cruise director, Andy, introducing Linda Gentille.
Linda was an amazing pianist.
We really enjoyed her show.
TODAY:
For lunch in La Veranda I had two bowls of the seafood stew. Could have been hotter but still yummy!
While at lunch our stewardesses cleaned our suite and left a letter from Jason Montague, President and CEO of Regent Seven Seas. He said when we arrive in Aruba on the 31th some of the stranded Crystal Cruises passengers (Crystal in bankruptcy and they dumped passengers in Aruba) will be joining us on the Mariner. He asked that we make them feel welcome. He said he will be joining the ship from Feb 9th to 13th. This segment ends on the 13th in Miami.
This evening is "formal optional" dress so back out the tux comes. It is the traditional Captain's Welcome Party but no party now due to covid protocols. We will be meeting Marcia in the Horizon Lounge for pre-dinner cocktails (Bond martinis for me) then dinner in Compass Rose. Tonight's show is featuring Marty Thomas, a Grammy nominated vocalist who has appeared on Broadway. Going to be a very nice sunset this evening.
NEWS FLASH:
At 5pm the Captain came on the PA to say that Jamaica will NOT let us stop there tomorrow. So the NEW plan is for us to stop at Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic tomorrow instead.
