DAY 1--AT SEA ENROUTE TO ENSENADA

Smooth seas off the California coast last night and today.  Here are some photos that I did not have time to upload to blog yesterday.  We spent all afternoon unpacking our 8 bags and actually got to the last one this morning.  Yes, we both agreed that we brought way too many clothes.  It is a learning experience for next year's world cruise!
                                                                         Our suite
                                                                   Closet is too small
Two very nice bottles of champagne are part of our Titanium benefits.  The wine is what we had Regent put on board for us.  Actually 10 cases of chardonnay.  La Crema and St Francis
My work desk however I am not getting good wifi in our room so am now down on deck 6 in a public area.
We have three of these portable drawers in the suite.  Two in the closet and one next to the bed.
We asked our stewardess for extra hangers and she brought probably 50 more.  We ended up not using them all however.

Now you are wondering what we did with the empty luggage.  Well, 6 of them fit under our bed and they will come put the others in storage.

LAST NIGHT

Dinner in Prime 7 with Marcia Rector, our very good friend from Toronto.
We met Marcia in the Mariner Lounge at 6pm for pre-dinner cocktails.  Just next to it was Prime 7 where we had 6:30 dinner reservations.  Here we are in Prime 7 with the maitre d, Dominic.
Half order of the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing.
10 ounce filet with some truffle fries, creamed spinach, and sauteed mushrooms.
Followed by my favorite dessert--a popcorn sundae.
Of course we had some nice red wines to wash it all down with.  It was a great dinner.  Marcia was going to the show at 9:30 afterwards but we retired to our suite.

TODAY

As I mentioned, we unpacked our last bag this morning as it had my workout shoes in it.  For some reason my cell phone is not getting wifi in our room.  My laptop and Rebecca's cell is receiving it.  So I went down by the coffee connection with my laptop and cell phone in tow.  I wanted to get the photos above uploaded to my laptop so I could put them on the blog.  Worked good down there.
At about 10am we went down to the fitness center and did our 1 hour on the treadmills.  Then back to the suite to get showered and dressed for lunch.
Dennis was our waiter in Compass Rose at lunch.  Unfortunately, the crew are not allowed to remove their masks for photos.  We have known him for years.  Rebecca had her Atkins bar and I had a beef empanada and chicken Caesar salad.
I am still having a problem with my cell phone getting wifi so I am using my laptop as a hotspot to receive internet on the phone.  I will be going down to talk with the ship's internet guy at 3pm when he returns from his break.
Our suite looks much better today after getting clothes unpacked and put away.
Getting a really nice ride off the coast of California about abeam of Los Angeles.  Land is not in sight however.  During the Captain's noon update PA he says it is 60 degrees outside today and expecting the same temperature when we are in Ensenada, Mexico, tomorrow.  Position on the map below was taken at 3:30pm.
Robert, the internet guy, returned from his break at 3pm so I took my cell phone down to have him fix my internet connection.  Did not take him long to get me back online plus he turned off "roaming" and "data" so I would not get any unexpected charges.  Then I took Rebecca's phone down so he could check it.  He is very knowledgeable and most helpful.
We have decided to go up to the Italian restaurant, Sette Mari, for dinner this evening.  They turn half of La Veranda, the buffet, into an Italian restaurant at night.  No reservations are required.  There is a headliner show tonight at 9:30.  Christine Andreas is a two time Tony nominee and will present a musical evening.
We will be docking in Ensenada, Mexico, tomorrow morning at 7am and departing at 3pm.  I am scheduled to do a tour at 11:45--"Ensenada Highlights and Mexican Fiesta".  Rebecca is not going.

HOMEWARD BOUND

LAST NIGHT We had cocktails in the Mariner Lounge with Marcia, Burt, Richard, Harvey, and Gudrun (sales consultant).  Then up to Sette Mar...
