LAST NIGHT:

Dominic, Prime 7 maitre 'd, got us a last minute table.  Loved the table as was in the corner and no bright lights.
10 ounce filet with twice baked potato and asparagus.  Started with a delicious crab cake however.
Instead of the usual popcorn sundae I opted for the 14 layer chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.

Prior to sailing out of the harbor of Cartagena yesterday evening the Captain on his departure PA advised that it was going to be a bit bumpy due to the high winds.  And it was.  We did not go to last night's show featuring a violinist.

TODAY:

Still rocking a bit this morning as wind is still 28 knots here in the Caribbean Sea.  Ship's speed is higher today (19 knots) so we will arrive at 7am tomorrow in Montego Bay.

Our noon position.  Yellow arrow in red circle.  Sea calming down some this afternoon.
At noon I went to a Connoisseur Wine Lunch.  Rebecca did not go so I joined Marcia for it.
                                                               My lunch date, Marcia.

The table was set up for the five wine courses plus 3 additional "surprise wines.
You should probably click on this photo to enlarge it.
Champagne starter for welcome.  Called a "Blue Moon".
Table set with all the wine glasses.
First course paired with Dom Perignon champagne was tuna and avocado poke.
Second course paired with Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand was a pan seared scallop with butternut squash spaghetti and champagne sauce.
Third course paired with a 2013 Brunello di Montalcino Italian red wine was pan seared Barbary duck breast with a glazed turnip.
Our head wine sommelier, Emilanno, was great with his wine descriptions and just a lot of fun.
This was one of his "surprise" wines in addition to the ones on printed menu. EXCELLENT!!
Black Angus sliced strip steak with bulgogi sauce paired with a very nice wine below.
                                                                   Loved this wine!!
                                                   Lemon bavarian cream with fruits.
Dessert wine was a Dolce Winery Far Niente Semillon, sauvignon blanc from Napa Valley.  It was very sweet and not my kind of wine.

So this afternoon I am trying to sober up so I can go down for cocktails at 6pm.  Just back from having a nice chat in Coffee Connection with Peggy Nathan and the Silvermans.  Getting a much better ride late this afternoon.

At 6pm our Captain came on with a PA saying Jamaica will not let us stop there tomorrow so it will be a day at sea instead.  Ask me if I care!!  NO, as we were not going to get off the ship anyway.

HOMEWARD BOUND

LAST NIGHT We had cocktails in the Mariner Lounge with Marcia, Burt, Richard, Harvey, and Gudrun (sales consultant).  Then up to Sette Mar...
