DAY 49---AT SEA

Our position at noon today is sailing in the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Nicaragua.  We have mostly sunny skies, temperature of 81 degrees, humidity is 70%, and wind out of the east at 30 miles per hour.  There is some "motion in the ocean" now due to the wind.  It's noticeable but not that bad down here on lower decks where we are.

LAST NIGHT:

                           Pre-dinner cocktails in the Horizon Lounge with Susanne Peters.

Performing there during cocktail hour was the Starlight Duo.  They had a few weird song selections last night for a bar lounge as she sang "Amazing Grace" and "Hallelujah", a couple of my favorite hymns.

We enjoyed dinner up in Sette Mari, the Italian restaurant at night.  Susanne had lasagna, Rebecca chose veal limone with capers, and I had my usual huge veal parmesan.

We sat with Marcia and Mary Ann & Jimbo Todd at the show.  It featured our assistant cruise director, Richard.  He is a very talented pianist and was also very funny.  We really enjoyed his show.

TODAY:

        Because of the ship's movement, Rebecca decided not to try the treadmill for the third straight day in order not to aggravate her knee.  I did not have any problem on the treadmill but did have one hand on it.

Is our Captain lost??  On the map channel on the tv today it says we are going to Progreso, Mexico.  The map is showing the correct route however which is to Limon, Costa Rica.

        This afternoon we watched a movie titled, "The Notebook", with James Garner and Gena Rowlands.  We loved this movie and highly recommend you see it.  A real tear jerking love story.

        As I mentioned, we shall be arriving at our next port of call, Puerto Limon, on the central eastern coast of Costa Rica.  We should be docked by 8am.  I have a tour scheduled for the afternoon.

        Pre-dinner cocktails at 6pm in the Horizon Lounge with Marcia.  You may have noticed we have switched lounges as our favorite bartender, Peter, is now in the Horizon Lounge.  Marcia will also be joining us for dinner.  Tonight's show features a return performance by Ollie Mulkeen, the trumpter/singer, who we enjoy.
