LAST NIGHT:

Setting up for the deck BBQ.
Sound check for the cast singers for the "Rock the Boat Dance Party" following the deck BBQ.

Our canapes, jalapenos poppers and hotdogs in pastry in the Mariner Lounge pre-dinner.
Our waiter, Joseph, is one of the very best.
This is an appetizer.  Crispy vegetable tart in thin puff pastry.  Loved it!!!!
The veal osso bucco was very good.
I had the chocolate dome cake.  It is a new dessert and I loved it.
This is the pastry chef who came by to chat with us.  The desserts on board are killer!!
This is Benjie, the room service superintendent.  We just met him tonight and told him we were most pleased with our room service breakfasts.

TODAY:

Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas.  One of their older ships is in front of us today.
My tour today was on the trolley.
Views of Castries, the capital of St Lucia.

Oldest Catholic church in town.  It will hold 2000 people.
The tree is 500 years old.

There are two airports on the island.  This is the smaller one for commuter and corporate planes as the runway is only 6000 feet long.  The international airport is south of town with a 9000 foot runway to handle larger jet airlines.
Cemetery where 4 people are buried under each head stone.
A 30 minute stop at the beach.  Tooooo long!
Beach was not a great one.
We were served a small rum punch drink during the stop.
Our trolley driver was introduced as "biggie" and our guide as "small".  Bet you know which are which.

This police guy was speeding around making a lot of noise with his ATV.
Back to the ship going past the cemetery again.
                                                                 Shops at the port.
Heading through shops area on way back to the ship.

Back on board at 11:15.  At lunch in La Veranda a couple walked by our table and he had an Air Force cap on.  So I said I was Air Force too.  We got to talking about Viet Nam.  I told him I flew B-52's off Guam on 78 combat missions in Southeast Asia.  He was at MACV headquarters in Siagon.  He said he was now the oldest living Air Force Academy graduate.  Not sure about that.  Phil and Nancy were some of the Crystal folks who just joined us and will be on board until San Diego where they live.
Probably have to exchange a full more stories with Phil.
Karren and Regille always clean our suite at noon when we leave to have lunch.  Today this is the way they left our balcony.  Tells me we will be having some bad weather with wind tonight as we sail up to Dominica.  As I did not have time to exercise this morning, I went up to the track on deck 12 this afternoon to do some walking for an hour.  Afterwards I sat out on the balcony again as I did yesterday.
Planning drinks and then dinner in Compass Rose.  We did not care for the entree choices:  there is always a vegetarian, a fish, a beef, and a veal or lamb, plus a salad entree.  So we have requested panko crusted fried shrimp as our entrees.  It was on the menu as an appetizer earlier and we loved it, so we asked for entree sized servings tonight.
We plan on seeing tonight's headliner entertainer in the theater at 9:30.  Andrea Amat is from Spain and is a renowned flautist.  I admit I am not that big on instrumentalists.
It is a short sail (102 miles) up to Dominica our port of call for tomorrow.  I am doing another trolley tour in the afternoon.

HOMEWARD BOUND

LAST NIGHT We had cocktails in the Mariner Lounge with Marcia, Burt, Richard, Harvey, and Gudrun (sales consultant).  Then up to Sette Mar...
