DAY 117---AT SEA

This is our position at 1pm today which is abeam Salem, Oregon.  It's overcast with winds from 35 to 45 knots and 52 degrees.  We are experiencing waves of over 12 feet and the ship is really moving about.  This is the roughest seas we have had so far on the WC.  I have a feeling there are a lot of seasick people today.  I have a half scopolamine patch behind both ears and we are both wearing the acupuncture wrist bands.

LAST NIGHT:

We had asked for this special taco dinner.  Refried beans, guacamole, salsa, cheese, and sour cream.
Neal, Prime 7 maitre'd, came in to get some tea bags at front of Compass Rose so I asked for this popcorn sundae from Prime 7.
He brought this a few minutes later.
We did not go to the show last night.

TODAY:

We went to the gym earlier this morning.  Good thing we did as the ocean was getting rougher.  I only did 50 minutes and Rebecca 30 minutes as it was getting harder to stay on the treadmill.
The photo does not really show how very rough the ocean is.
We went down to Compass Rose for lunch today due to the rough seas.  Compass Rose is on deck 5 and the lower you are during rough seas the better the ride is.  That is why we always book our suite on the lowest passenger deck.  In this case we are on deck 7 midship.  I ordered this very thin crust pepperoni pizza for lunch.  Rebecca, as always, had her Atkins bar.
During the Captain's noon time PA he indicated we probably will not be able to get into Eureka tomorrow.  In that case we will be bumping around at sea from now until Wednesday afternoon.  NOT looking forward to that.  Not a good way to end our WC.
The crew show, Krew Kapers, is scheduled for 6:15 this evening but I'm betting it will be cancelled at the last minute.  Just too rough and not safe for them to be on stage.  This evening is a formal optional dress night.  So out comes my tuxedo and Rebecca's fancy dress.  We are to dine with Al & Phyllis Wilhelm from Florida again tonight.
There is a movie tonight in the theater and the really bad comedian has a show in the Horizon Lounge.  We will not be going to either.
        Tomorrow is packing day!!

HOMEWARD BOUND

LAST NIGHT We had cocktails in the Mariner Lounge with Marcia, Burt, Richard, Harvey, and Gudrun (sales consultant).  Then up to Sette Mar...
