Today we are docked just next to downtown Seattle and the famous Pike Place Market. Typical Seattle overcast skies with a chance of showers and temperature in the 50's.LAST NIGHT:
Dinner did not go as well as we had planned. We had asked for fried chicken thighs but were served fried white meat instead. Oh, well. We asked for a Mexican dinner tonight.
Once again Michelle was not that good but we did enjoy Mark and the show.
TODAY:
This side of the ferris wheel is the Seattle aquarium.
The ferris wheel is 175 feet high.
We have a primo dock location as in the background a couple miles away there are a couple more ships docked. This is the ferry that goes from Seattle to Bainbridge Island on the other side of Elliott Bay.
Just before noon the sun started appearing through some cloud breaks so it has turned into a pretty nice day (for Seattle) with a temperature of 60 degrees. I was scheduled to go on a 4 hour tour this afternoon to the Space Needle and Pike Place Market. I decided not to go as we both have seen the Seattle landmarks back when we had Seattle layovers during our flying careers. I just did not want to be around crowds of people.
This afternoon I went through all my WC photos and made two albums. One with photos of the people we know or have met when on the cruise. The other is with just photos of the two of us. Many of the people we know will also be on next year's world cruise. Rebecca made some phone calls to friends since we can use our cell phones today.
At 5:30 we have our interdenominational worship service. We have missed the last two Sundays due to my covid issue. We will be sailing again at 6pm and it should be a beautiful sail out of Elliott Bay into the Puget Sound then through the Strait of Juan de Fuca out to the Pacific Ocean. Tomorrow will be a day at sea before arriving in Eureka, CA, on Tuesday.
Not sure where we will be having drinks. Either the Observation Lounge or Horizon Lounge for the sail away scenery. Dinner in Compass Rose later. We want to see the show tonight as missed the first performance with Fred & Bobbie Becker. Says magic and musical mischief in their bio.
